Join us at Malenka Originals to learn how to upcycle a vintage wood jewelry box to create a one of a kind treasure using Chalk Paint™!
You will choose a jewelry box as your very own and decorate to suit your style while learning how to prep it, take it apart, paint and decorate, and finally rebuild it. You will have the choice to decorate it using paint, stencilling and/or decoupage. Choose one of the following finishes for the overall style:
- Aged, antique, distressed finish
- Smooth, polished modern finish
- Beautiful dry brushed finish
You'll get colour inspiration from the paper napkins provided for use in decoupage. If you already have a favourite paper napkin source please feel free to bring it.
Cost is $125 + tax and all supplies are included (even the jewelery box!). Spots are limited to 6 people for this workshop. Please note: a $50 non-refundable deposit will be retained for all cancellations.
As part of our Creative Collaborations, this workshop will be taught by local furniture painter Michelle Muncaster, from A Refreshing Change. Michelle has been painting with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint for more than five years and has participated in all but one of the Refreshed Furniture Pop-Up Shops sponsored by Malenka Originals. You may also be familiar with Michelle as one of the admins on the Furniture Flipping for a Profit Facebook pages. She is also a current admin for the local Facebook for furniture painters, https://www.facebook.com/
